GPS Jammers – What You May Not Know!
Have you guys heard of gps jammers? The purpose behind the technology is to jam the signals coming out of a gps tracking device fitted into vehicles or anywhere else.
I was reading an interesting post on the fieldtechnologies.com site and they have given some very useful informationabout gps jammers. Here’s just one of the points;
“Criminals, car thieves and pranksters can use GPS jammers to get away with bad behavior. For example, if a car thief steals a car with a GPS jammer, then law enforcement will not be able to use the GPS tracking device to track down the vehicle. Although it is illegal to buy in the US and many countries in Europe, it seems very easy to get access to the jamming devices. Just a simple search on line and you have various companies selling the device.
Jamming devices have become popular with thieves who prey on vehicles and once stolen of course don’t want to be tracked. Employee drivers who become frustrated with their employers tracking their every move, opt for jamming devices. GPS jammers have also been held accountable for disrupting daily business routines. With any technology come the positives and negatives. It’s how we manage the negative aspects of the technology that will defines whether it was worth it or not.
